Aktieselskabet CARL CHRISTENSEN - New workshop concept TEKNICAR exceeds expected growth
Aarhus (DK), 02.01.2012
Together with the primary customer group, the au2parts wholesaler chain, Aktieselskabet CARL CHRISTENSEN has established a new workshop concept in 2011 - following the success of the AutoPartner concept that was established several years ago.
Since the Teknicar chain was launched in April 2011, things have moved fast.
“We have just passed workshop number 100 and we are very proud. The workshops have joined up in rapid succession”. These words come from a satisfied Kim Birkjær who is responsible for the workshop chain.
“From the beginning, our aim has been 200 workshops out of the 3,000 independent workshops in Denmark, and it is not unrealistic to reach that goal next year”, he concludes.
“We have hit the heart and soul of the workshops. The workshops are in the centre, and we do believe in the local principle”, Kim Birkjær points out.
With respect for the local identity
Our demand on the workshops to join the chain is primarily that they are updated with technical data and prepared for the future through technical courses and training. Teknicar is made with due respect for the independence of the workshops.
We shall help the workshops to optimise their daily operation through better information, good offers and joint agreements, but we will ensure that they keep the local identity and independence which is very important to many workshops.
Teknicar has planned a number of activities for the next year in close cooperation with the thirty-five au2parts wholesalers who are an essential factor of the success that the chain has achieved, as they ensure daily deliveries to each workshop minimum four times per day.
